Create 2.1.2 Using Web 2.0 Tools to Differentiate Teacher Instruction Quest

Compose a blog post about relying on the Web 2.0 Tools discussed in the Create quest. Select one of these tools and build a learning focused instructional tool. Upon completion, identify the tool and include a brief description in your blog post.

Web 2.0 tools are a great resource for teachers as they try to maintain student interest and yet ensure quality education.  While these resources are wonderful, I fear we may be relying too much on them to the point that glitz is more important than knowledge.  Don't get me wrong, I love entertainment as much as the next person and really enjoy being able to create presentations that excite and educate my audience.  However, I fear that the cart is currently driving the horse in that we are losing sight of our end game.

Regardless of my views...yes, I am a dinosaur closing in on retirement...one tool that I've used is snacktools.  This is an easy to use program that takes dull powerpoint presentations and adds some pizazz.  Here is a presentation I created with this program and was utilized to educate rising 9th grade parents about the realities of high school survival.
