Communicate 4.2.1 Feedback Quest

To complete this Quest:

Choose three standards for area of study, create an assignment, and method for assessing students work, utilizing one of the mediums discussed. Ensure the tool demonstrates an instructor’s employment of effective feedback.
Make the assignment and method for assessing student work available in a post in your blog.

Georgia Performance Standards

SSEF1:  The student will explain why limited productive resources and unlimited wants result in scarcity, opportunity costs and trade offs for individuals, businesses and governments.

Course:  Economics

As students watch clip, they will address the following questions:
1.  What items did Chuck utilize to create fire?
2.  What items would have been useful to him if available?
3.  Consider another method for making fire.  What would you have done?

SSEF4:  The student will compare and contrast different economic systems, and explain how they answer the three basic economic questions of what to produce, how to produce and for whom to produce.


Following a powerpoint presentation on Basic Economics, students will be presented with the following activity.

Using your knowledge of the Basic Economic Questions, decide which Market System is utilized by the following groups.  Beside each example in the space provided, mark T if it is a Traditional Economic System, C if it is a Command Economy, or M if it is a Market Economy.

SSEMI2:  The student will explain how the Law of Demand, the Law of Supply, prices and profits work to determine production and distribution in a market economy.

Following a powerpoint presentation on Supply and Demand along with various activities, a formative assessment will be the following RAFT.
